Riverside House
Richmond, Virginia

Extreme Rehab to a 1950's Better Homes & Garden catalogue house comprising a partial second story addition while transforming the home from a "cottage" style to one of an "organic modern" character. Biophilic design pervades this project through strong connections to the James River viewshed and integrated garden space and an exterior living wall. The architect's long-time love of bridges finds its way into this project as well, signifying the connection of this home with one of the defining aspects of the local history and culture.
